What Can I Do To Help?

Hello Everyone,

You are probably on this site, at this given time because you are either curious as to what the boosters do for the high school or what you can do to help the boosters out. Allow me to enlighten you on both.

FIrst off the Boosters are the organizers of events needing volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for something please contact Justin Steger [email protected], the High School Band Director to get on a list. In a nutshell here is what the boosters provide for us.

Fall - Swing Dance, the boosters provide the volunteers needed to make this event successful as well as the dance instructor and the reservation for the room at the Fort Atkinson Club


Winter - Essentially Ellington Recordings, they provide the financial backbone for the Essentially Ellington competition recordings. The financial assistance makes sure that money doesn't become an issue to get the best recording possible.


Spring - Kalahari Band Fest and Badger Varsity Band Financial assistance. The boosters severely cut costs and provide financial assistance for the Middle School to attend these wonderful memory-filled events.

High School Field trip assistance - Watching concerts and attending festivals cost money, the Boosters really help financially with the costs of these trips.

POPS concert - This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. We do our annual candy bar fundraiser here as well as putting on a wonderful family friendly show. The boosters help greatly with organizing volunteers.

Summer - Possibly the biggest thing the boosters do is provide financial assistance to the marching band and help organize volunteers. Fort Atkinson traditionally puts on a summer marching band show and that needs as much help as possible.

This Band program or any can not function with out the dedicated hours and talents of our many generous volunteers. Volunteering your time and talents is a great way to give back/ pay forward, and spend some quality time with your band student.

We are always looking for volunteers of all sorts. Please consider volunteering. 
The list on side bar provides some of the job descriptions, but we always happy to accept what ever sort of help we can get. If you have a talent or passion that you believe the band could use don't hesitate to ask. I am sure we can find a home for you and your talents.
